Just a little DRAMA :: A Creative Yoga Flow For Leo Season

1. Align yourself : sit up tall, legs crossed.  2. Interlace your fingers release & point your index fingers outward -- unleash your inner Farrah Fawcett (Charlie's Angel). Inhale, arms to the sky.  3. Breathe IN & OUT through the nose.  4. Exhale. Use your abs to push the breath out.  5. Quicken the pace. Your breath should be loud, quick & equal.  6. Do 2-3 sets for 30 seconds, each.

If you'd like to take a deeper backbend, (as pictured here), release the forearms & drop your head & hair like you just don't care for cobra pose. After all, Leos are all about that drama!

1. From your belly, INHALE -- lift up, strong arms.  2. Energetically form a straight line from your crown to your tippy toes.  3. Engage those mega-watt abs.  4. Booty down. Lift through the thighs to align.  5. Build your inner fire with your breath.  Remember : You can't be burned by the fire, if you become the fire.

Leos lead from the HEART. One  translation of the Sanskrit name for this pose LITeRALLY means "the ecstatic unfolding of the enraptured heart." I’m sure we can all get down for that.   1. Begin in DFD — Downward Facing Dog.  2. Bring your weight into your right hand and roll onto the outer edge of your right foot. THINK : Side Plank.  3. Inhale. Lift your hips.   4. Keep the strength in your  right hand making a clawing action with the fingers like your inner Lion/Lioness that you are!   5. Exhale. Place your left toes on the floor, slight bend in the knee.   6. Lift your hips.   7. Extend your left arm from your heart. Reach forward with the same enthusiasm as you would use to shake Beyonce’s hand.

2. Bring your weight into your right hand and roll onto the outer edge of your right foot. THINK : Side Plank.

3. Inhale. Lift your hips.

4. Keep the strength in your right hand making a clawing action with the fingers like your inner Lion/Lioness that you are!

5. Exhale. Place your left toes on the floor, slight bend in the knee.

6. Lift your hips.

7. Extend your left arm from your heart. Reach forward with the same enthusiasm as you would use to shake Beyonce’s hand.
